I am a Berkeley-based Certified Massage Therapist specializing in Acute and Chronic Pain Relief.

My career began in 1983, in an apprenticeship program where I completed 300 half-hour sessions during a three-month period. In 1989, I trained at the Esalen Institute in their signature style.

This inspired me to remain in my study of whole body reflexology, that was more effective and efficient. In 1996, completion of a 650-hour certification program at Touch Concepts.  My 25 years… in California have been In deep appreciation of Eastern Healing Arts, I read about highly regarded sight impaired therapists in Asian countries. Inspired by this by intuiting the benefits, I aspired to work with a select clientele in total darkness. This blossomed in me a heart alliance to make every movement a viable asset.

Reflex Symmetry™ Bodywork (RSB) Approach

As a new Client, you are briefed before an initial session on how your specific pain issues are consequential to the sensitivity in your extremities controlled by the autonomic nervous system. Please note that the accuracy of my touch can be jarring at first, but calms down very quickly as the process becomes evident. 

As we work together, we are astonished at what we discover – the revelation of what your body is hiding in and around the crevices of your ankles, elbows, wrists, neck, and spinal joints! I guide you through those peak moments of discovery to feel the change within inspired body awareness. 

With that said, it is advantageous for your bodywork session that you be in a state of an open heart with your body’s unique intelligence and innate ability to heal. Consider that, “Maybe my issue isn’t as much about the painful area in question, that I have come to believe!”  

Important Note

Mainstream Western massage hasn’t yet evolved to recognize how asymmetry connections can profoundly balance the body. The brain has an innately empowering effect over-energetic pathways that our natural body wisdom knows at the proper handling of manipulation in the world of whole-body reflexology!
